Compliance Manager

Irish Mortgage Corporation is the largest independent mortgage brokers in the country. All our operations are based in our modern offices in 118 Baggot Street, Dublin 2 providing for the financial requirements of our growing number clients. We offer a broad range of lending and life based products and provide a professional financial service to our clients in the property market taking account of their financial, legal, and taxation requirements. We wish to recruit a compliance manager who will support our company. This is an exciting and challenging role for an ambitious compliance professional.

As Compliance Manager in Irish Mortgage Corporation, you will be responsible for assessing the quality of all regulated advised sales of our Life / Pensions / Mortgage and General Insurance Products to our clients.

You will ensure that all Life / Pensions / Mortgage/ General products sold to our clients, matches their needs and cross reference check that the advice given to the client matches the product that is sold.

You will ensure that all sales advice, sales processes and supporting documentation comply with the regulatory requirements of the relevant legislation and the Financial Regulators Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Independently assess and audit the quality of advised sales and financial advice given to our clients by our Life/Pensions/Mortgage/ General Insurance Consultants and ensure they adhere to all compliance regulations and Regulators Codes of Practice.
  • Ensure at all times that the best financial advice is given to our clients, whilst adhering to all compliance regulations and relevant legislation
  • Review and monitor the sales process to ensure that business is properly conducted and documented and where necessary take measures to correct any issues
  • Identify, assess, and advise on all compliance risks that apply to our line of business and implement the necessary controls to prevent such risks
  • Monitor /audit and report on compliance requirements to ensure all our sales consultants operate in accordance with all relevant codes and industry norms
  • Maintain /update relevant compliance policies and procedures manuals and monitoring programmes appropriate to our business activities
  • Deliver training to all Sales Consultants on regulatory developments and compliance requirements
  • Be pro active in researching and preparing the business for future key regulatory developments in our line of business and advise our Directors team on all regulatory matters
  • Liaise with regulatory/ legislative and industry representative bodies on any Compliance issues/matters regarding the operation of the business.
  • Act as designated arbitrator on any issues or complaints regarding advice or service received from Irish Mortgage Corporation Ltd. This includes acting as point of contact for the business with the Financial Services Ombudsman Bureau.
  • Maintenance/monitoring of introducing intermediaries for the business - Design/deliver any relevant compliance training for all staff - Identify any additional resources needed to support the business in regard to meeting it's compliance and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage attendance and completion of LIA and other exams for all necessary staff on training sales team to spot commercial, high value and premium lending opportunities.

The ideal person will be self-motivated with an excellent regulatory knowledge and strong interpersonal skills. Strong influencing as well as organising and planning skills are needed to deliver the required level of service. Ability to work on your own initiative is necessary. A commitment to personal and professional development is important.

Private Clients Executive

Irish Mortgage Corporation is the largest independent mortgage brokers in the country. The Private Clients Team based in our modern offices in 118 Baggot Street, Dublin 2 supports and develops the financial requirements of our growing number of Commercial and high net worth clients. Our experienced financial consultants provide a professional financial service to our clients in the property market taking account of their financial, legal, and taxation requirements. This is an exciting and challenging role for an ambitious sales professional.

Private Clients Executives develop relationships with new and existing customers of Irish Mortgage Corporation by satisfying their financial needs and maximising their opportunities. They are required to understand clients needs and package complex cases in easy to understand ways. This requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and a high level of experience and knowledge of delivering sound financial advice.

Strong client relationships and professional service is crucial to the ongoing success of our Private Clients Team. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone who would like to develop a career in financial sales.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Write Business:
    To write on your own account commercial, high value, premium business from personal and existing company contacts, i.e. source, structure, negotiate and close deals.
  • To aid in the development of a ‘Private Client’ division at Irish Mortgage Corporation.
  • Develop own personal business.
    • Own contacts
    • Introducers/Accountants/Solicitors
  • Develop business from existing Irish Mortgage Corporation contacts.
    • Hmacd commercial division
    • Existing sales team
    • Existing Irish Mortgage Corporation bank of Introducers/Accountants.
    • Irish Mortgage Corporation database.
    • To seek out life/investment cross-selling opportunities
  • Training.
    • With specific emphasis on training sales team to spot commercial, high value and premium lending opportunities.

The ideal person will be self-motivated with advanced communication and interpersonal skills. They should have developed sales skills and an ability to work to targets. Strong organising and planning skills are needed to deliver the required level of service. Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team is necessary. A commitment to personal and professional development is important.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Successful track record in high value sales is a must.
  • Proven ability to develop high value client relationships
  • Advanced standard of communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level of interpersonal skills

  • PC literacy is required

Mortgage Sales Manager (Refinance)

Irish Mortgage Corporation is the largest independent mortgage broker in the country. We wish to develop a Refinance Sales team in the company based in our modern offices in 118 Baggot Street, Dublin 2. Our Mortgage Sales Manager (Refinance) will be responsible to establish this team to generate significant volumes of business from our existing client bank as well as from external campaigns.

This is a new and challenging role to establish an effective team to cater for the ongoing financial needs of our existing clients and to cater for business volumes from external marketing campaigns. It will require a strong sales focus combined with proven leadership ability in developing a successful team. The successful candidate will need a high level of communication and interpersonal skills with a strong drive to succeed.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Achievement of team targets
  • Support Sales Director with all Sales initiatives and activities as required
  • Ensure headcount numbers are at required levels to achieve company targets. Our HR Team will also work along side you in this respect.
  • Manage activity levels of team members
  • Lead by example
  • Handle escalated client queries/issues
  • Screen CVs and carry out initial interviews with new recruits along with a representative from our Human Resources team
  • Organise sales campaigns with Marketing at various times of the year
  • Delegates tasks where appropriate to team members

  • Strong leader with the ability to motivate others
  • Highly developed sales skills, including the ability to maximise each sales lead
  • Knowledge of debt consolidation, equity release market will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Work as part of a team but must also be able to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent presentation, demonstration and influencing skills.
  • High levels of self-motivation, resilience, drive and initiative
